THE  PLACE now LETCHWORTH ARTS CENTRE

The Place, Letchworth Arts Centre was set up to provide access and opportunities for all members of the community to take part in, or contribute to, the creative and artistic life of the region . 

Now under new management it continues to pursue this aim.

It aims to represent quality and innovation in the arts and is a unique local venue housing performing and visual art. It provides a central point for information, involvement and community outreach.

The Place, in its first years, has been able to offer a wide and varied range of arts events and activities to the community. 

The introduction of work in the following areas has helped establish the identity of The Place and provide a foundation for the long term planning and development of arts activities

DANCE All projects, activities and events aim to encourage everyone to get involved. There are no limits on age or ability and there is something for everyone. The Place offers community groups and schools special projects which facilitate or extend their current creative programme, rooms and equipment for hire, leisure classes and activities, community workshops, a local performance venue for musicians, dancers and performers and much more.
 
 

The Place, Letchworth Arts Centre is registered charity limited by guarantee and governed by a board of voluntary trustees draw from the business and artistic community in an around Letchworth
